Web 2.0 Visual Learning Collaboration Tools (Secondary)
(Web 2.0 VisLearn (Secondary))

These days, the idea of the Web without images and visual data is almost unimaginable. The Web is a visually rich resource and now, the participatory nature of Web 2.0 enables the use of images and other visual data for learning in creative and innovative ways, whilst providing lots of opportunities to share and collaborate for both pupils and teachers.

This course is designed to provide a practical introduction to the some of the Web 2.0 tools and techniques that you can investigate and try out in the classroom. The wonderful thing about these tools is that they are easy to use, and normally free. As you will discover in the case studies section; they are proving stimulating and engaging for pupils, whilst providing teachers with new approaches to teaching and applying ICT in the Secondary School.
